Splitting Hairs

Familiar with the saying "If you have to ask, you can't afford it!"?

Well, guess what? If you have to ask, you can't afford it!

Ok, so Regis isn't the cheapest salon to go to. But it's far from expensive. In fact, I find most of the prices to be very fair. But it never fails when people come in and a conversation like this happens:

Female Customer: How much is it for me to get just a trim?
Me: Our cuts start at $31, and that includes cut and style.
Lady: What do you mean starts at?
Me: Well, it depends on who does it.
Lady: For just a trim?

Usually, they end up leaving. Ok, let's not split hairs here (no pun intended). There's NO SUCH THING as "just a trim". A haircut is a haircut is a haircut, no matter how much you're taking off. The only exception to this would be a bang trim or neck trim. And really, $31 for a shampoo, cut, and style by one of our awesome stylists is a really fair price ($35 for if one of the veteran stylists does it). Oh, you wanna go to Great Clips maybe and pay $14.95? Ok, fine. But you're not going to get a shampoo and style with that, nor are they really going to take the time to care about you and your hair. Their goal is to get you in and out of the chair as quickly as possible. My (and all my coworkers) goal is to take care of you and your needs, to have a thorough consultation, give you a great cut, and to make sure you know how to maintain your style and the condition of your hair. We're going to show you how. We're going to use awesome products on you and try to get you to buy some so you can have great hair well after you leave the salon. We care.

So really, it's almost like going to a high-end salon, just without the high-end price. You should be so lucky!
