I can foil like a boss now.
Starting out, I foiled slowly, and it kinda looked messy. But thanks to learning how to properly fold the foils and also thanks to my special weaving comb, not only am I quick, but the highlights/lowlights look great. It's making me good money, whenever I get a client.
I remember the first foil job I did when I was out of school...I melted the poor girl's hair. I felt like an idiot. I avoided using lightener at all costs for a while after that. Then I warmed back up to it after learning that miracles can't happen when it comes to color sometimes, and at those times, you have to say "No." Since, I've gotten better, then I got pretty damn good. I learned the values of safely lifting, that even though a brand of lightener might lift "up to seven levels", it's not safe to lift more than four in one session. I did a rather successful job of giving some neat color using foils to my friend Gwen's hair, which came out in a nice spray of autumn colors. Very nice indeed.
So I had what seemed like a nice date last night. A guy who was adorably awkward and had a funky underbite, but was still cute. I kissed him before we parted ways. However, he was asking for sexual...favors this morning and I refused. He told me "Sorry, this isn't going to work out."
Huh?
